The people who observed the rising of the mysterious glowing ball in the sky said it reminded of “a portal to another dimension.”
A huge gleaming ball, possibly a UFO, illuminated the night sky in northern Siberia, Russia and inspired fears of an alien attack.
The witnesses speculated that aliens are attacking them or even worse, the end of the world is coming.
The outstanding scenery was recorded by the photographer Sergey Anisimov in the town of Salekhard.
He described how initially he wasn’t aware of what was really going up because the glowing ball rose from behind the trees and stirred into his direction.
“My first thought was about the most powerful searchlight, but the speed of changing everything around changed the idea of what was happening,” said Sergey.
Shortly after, the sphere began to turn into a curve and moderately burnt out.
Around 500 miles east, another man named Alexey Yakovlev, stated he felt really scared while he observed the UFO in the town of Strezhevoi.
At the beginning, he thought it is just an amazing round glare, but later, when its size started increasing, he was feared from it.
“It’s good that I was not alone – a group of people cannot hallucinate,” added Yakovlev.
Other witnesses also wrote posts on social media that they believed it’s the end of the world or aliens.
Witness Vasily Zubkov said: “I went out to smoke a cigarette and thought it was the end of the world.”
Anastasia Boldyreva added: “Aliens arrived.”
“It’s a gap in the space-time continuum,” claimed Nurgazy Taabaldiev.
The Russian ministry of defense also confirmed the fact there was something unusual in the sky over northern Siberia.
However, the experts implied another two explanations for this amazing event.
The first one suggested it was a lucid demonstration of the Northern Lights, also famous as aurora borealis.
The second one suggests the Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted to scare the West with extravagant military exercises by his nuclear forces.
That night, there were ongoing bomb tests from submarines and aircraft, and the practice incorporated the initiation of a powerful Topol rocket from Plesetsk cosmodrome.
The Russian Media explained the glowing ball as a result of the trace of this rocket capable of carrying nuclear ammunition.
